We are amazed by how many people get in contact with us offering to come over to Nepal and volunteer their services to help the children at Onni House. We are most impressed and grateful for people's generosity in wanting to help these children.

However, given that the house has only been open for just over a year, we need to provide the most stable environment we can for the children who have arrived from difficult backgrounds and have undergone a huge transition in their lives. Having adults coming in and out of their lives for short periods at this stage may affect the childrens ability to form trusting relationships with adults, and compromise their development. As a result, we have a number of local specialist staff who care for the children, and can only offer volunteer positions at Onni House to caring, dedicated people who are prepared to commit to spending at least 3 months or more helping the special Onni children and our staff.
