The Australian Board consists of our directors Carl Steinfort & Tuuli Vikstedt, along with the following group of generous, dedicated people who each bring essential expertise and enthusiasm to the management and guidance of Wind of Change.

Paul Steinfort

Paul is one of Australia’s leading Project Managers, having managed landmark projects in Melbourne such as the MCG Redevelopment and the Rialto, and is a former president of the Australian Institute of Project Managers.

Paul is also the Director of PSA Project Aid, a company dedicated to providing Project Management consultancy services to aid groups, and will be providing his expertise to Wind of Change International free of charge. He has extensive field experience in aid projects, including working with CARE, CSR, SurfAid and Tsunami Relief projects. In addition, he is currently undertaking a PhD researching Project Management Best Practice for Aid Relief Projects.

Paul is involved in a large number of local and community organisations, including church groups, sporting clubs and local charities, and has been a key contributor to the establishment of Wind of Change.

Colleen Taylor

Colleen has a Masters Degree in Education, and has been working as ESL Coordinator at Monmia Primary School, in Melbourne's western suburbs, for the past 10 years. During that time she has worked with parents and students from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and has developed great respect and admiration for their cultures and fight for a better life. She is keenly aware of the work done at Foundation House in Melbourne (Centre for Torture & Trauma) and the Refugee Centre in North Melbourne, and has also been a volunteer at a summer school for ‘Karen’ speaking refugees from Burma .

As an educator, Colleen knows progress can sometimes only be measured in small steps and is committed to helping Wind of Change make the first ones toward their vision of providing advantages and hope to the people our projects aim to help.

Dr Emma West

Emma is an Emergency physician, having worked at a range of hospitals in Victoria including the Royal Children's Hospital, and has previously worked with the Royal Flying Doctor service in the Northern Territory.

She has also spent time overseas on medical assignments - she was in Africa working for a group of child refuge shelters structuring health education strategies for children, and then delivered school based HIV prevention education to children in India. She is currently in the process of completing a Masters degree in Public Health, particularly relevant to any of our overseas projects.

Emma will provide expert opinion and advice on how health matters should be planned and administered on any of the organisation’s projects

Jason Snell

Jason is a former AFL footballer, having had a successful career with Geelong that was cut short by injury. Since retiring he has turned his focus to the business world, where he has achieved considerable success as General Manager of recruitment firm Final 5

With his enthusiastic personality, and extensive network of contacts within media, sporting and business circles, combined with a marketing degree, Jason provides great assistance in promoting our organisation.
